One of my first custom rings, this beautiful solitaire captures the romance of antique craftsmanship with a sculptural modern twist. Featuring a 2.64ct old mine cut oval diamond (E VS1, IGI LG626497143) measuring 9.98 x 8.03 x 5.22 mm, its super chubby 1.24 length-to-width ratio gives the stone a charmingly round, pillowy presence. Four compass prongs cradle the diamond in a minimalist 10K yellow gold solitaire setting, allowing maximum light play from every angle. The open gallery design highlights the diamond’s depth and old-world faceting pattern, giving this piece an effortless elegance that feels both vintage and fresh.
